These Grinch Kabobs are a regular party pleaser. Aside from the fact that they are delicious, they make a great conversation starter if your party is slow. You can keep them as-is, or you can set up a chocolate dipping fountain or chocolate fondue and let your guests go to town. Either way, you’ll be all the rave.
As a bonus, they’re a lot healthier than cookies and fudge, and more importantly, they evoke song….”You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch….!”
Just in case you can’t figure out how to deconstruct this highly complicated appetizer, I’ve broken it down for you in this important looking diagram. Just push everything together on a toothpick, arrange them nicely on a dish, and serve them while your guests wait for their “Roast Beast.”
It’s up to you if you want the toothpick to show or if you’d rather break off the tip of it for aesthetic reasons. I think it depends on how smart your guests are. If you think people will bite into the toothpick and injure themselves, it’s best to leave a little showing.
Make sure that the strawberries you pick have single-pointed ends on them, to make a more likely Santa hat when you trim them to fit onto the banana.
I also have a Christmas Veggie Platter and some Naughty Coconut Bites that are a hit as well. Be sure and check it out!
