This takes 2 minutes to make, and tastes incredible. I ALWAYS use it with my sultry sweet potato fries. This, or my equally superb Fry Sauce that I think you will agree is worth making. And frankly, I can’t decide between the two. I have both here in front of me, and if I had room for only one on a life raft and had to throw the other one over, I simply couldn’t do it, and I’d have to throw myself over instead.
The entire motivation behind making the Secret Sauce is that I am a sweet potato fry fanatic, and traditional condiments just don’t cut it with sweet potatoes. Ketchup is too sweet. Mustard is too zingy. Ranch works if there’s nothing else, but I’d rather eat them plain if given the choice. BBQ is too strong by itself. Mayo is gross by itself. But combining the two with a little extra seasoning makes for a terrific sauce.
The best sauces to accompany sweet potato fries are:
- Secret Sauce (BBQ/Mayo)
- Fry Sauce (Ketchup/Mayo)
- Chipotle Sauce
Combine ingredients together.
Mix until smooth.
And you’re done!
- ⅓ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup bbq sauce
- ⅛ tsp onion powder
- ⅛ tsp garlic powder
- Mix ingredients together and voila.
